Bayt 22 was founded in Kuwait with a clear purpose: to bring thoughtful, high-quality custom furniture and interior design within reach of homeowners and businesses across the GCC. What started as a small workshop in Industrial Shuwaikh has grown into a full-service design and manufacturing studio trusted by families, architects, and commercial clients alike.
Our name, "Bayt," means home in Arabic — and that is exactly what drives us. Every project we take on is guided by the belief that the spaces people live and work in should reflect who they are. We do not believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead, we listen, design, and build pieces that are made to fit your life.
Our Story
Bayt 22 began when our founders noticed a gap in Kuwait's furniture market. Homeowners had to choose between mass-produced imports that lacked character and luxury brands with prohibitive price tags. There was no middle ground — no workshop that combined genuine craftsmanship with modern design sensibility at an honest price.
So we built one. Starting with a team of skilled carpenters and a single CNC machine, we set out to prove that custom does not have to mean expensive, and quality does not have to mean slow. Today our workshop spans a dedicated manufacturing facility in Shuwaikh, a design studio, and a showroom where clients can see and touch the materials that will become part of their homes.
